Sandburg Winter One Acts are a hit

Written and directed by Sandburg students

The Winter One Acts are short plays written and directed by Sandburg seniors. This year nearly 70 students participated in four plays: Do It for the Vine, written and directed by Ellie Rybak and Claire Sokol; Game Night, written and directed by Hunter Morris & David Oliver; The Wrong Generation, written and directed by Maggie McQuinn; and BUCKET L18T, written and directed by Grace Galman, Maria Krause, & Samantha Lahey. The technical crew was led by senior stage managers Meghan Browne, Thomas Carmody, and Michelle Gamero.

Both evening performances drew enthusiastic crowds, and approximately 400-500 students and teachers attended each period during the school-day performances.

In addition to the valuable learning experiences that students gain by participating in any theatrical production, the Winter One Acts also provide the student writers and directors with an excellent opportunity for creative expression, organizational management, and peer leadership. The Sandburg community is very proud of their outstanding work.
