Students build children's table and chair sets for Woodworkers Fighting Cancer Build

Woodworking 2 students from Carl Sandburg High School participated in the worldwide Woodworkers Fighting Cancer Build. For the project, the students worked as a team to build table and chair sets for children. To successfully complete the tables, the students learned advanced machine skills, methods of mass production, knock down furniture design, and methods of quality control.
For each of the four sets of tables the students completed, money was donated to the Cancer Research Institute. With the help of Sandburg Woodworkers, the 2015 Woodworkers Fighting Cancer Build raised $20,899. The event is run by Marc Spagnulo.
