Is the school district important in your real estate search?

Orland Park District 135 includes most of incorporated Orland Park and a few unincorporated areas. If you are interested in District 135 schools for your children, do not assume that because a home is in the Orland Park village limits, it is in District 135. And, if a home is outside the village limits, it might still be in the district. District 135 does a somewhat uncommon combination of grade centers and local schools. They likely use this combination because it is the most efficient layout for the size of the district. They teach a little over 5,000 students in 10 buildings. If schools are important, be knowledgeable, not all schools within a district are the same.

District officials and boards of education make decisions based on what is best for all students, not yours specifically. You must make decisions on what is best for your student.
