Second-Chance Felon Charged With ID Theft: Prosecutor

Prosecutor said man on second-chance probation tried to open credit account at Orland Square jewelry store.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A second-chance felon violated his probation when he tried to open a credit account at an Orland Square jewelry store using a fake ID, prosecutors said.

Caleb White, 22, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of identity theft. A violation of probation was also filed.

On Dec. 22, the prosecutor said that White tried to open a credit account at Kay's Jewelers using the identity of an Iowa resident. The Iowa resident’s driver’s license was said to have White’s picture on it.
