Security Cameras Damaged At Orland Park Condo Building
The prosecutor said the man was captured on video cutting cords, spraying cameras and hitting outlet boxes with a pole.
ORLAND PARK, IL — A man was arrested after he was captured on video vandalizing security cameras in his Orland Park condominium building, prosecutors said. Steven Kleinpaste, 30, appeared Tuesday before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of criminal damage to property.
The prosecutor said Kleinpaste unplugged the security cameras in the lobby on Feb. 12. The condo association put boxes over the outlets, so they could not be tampered with. A few days later on Feb. 17, the prosecutor said Kleinpaste was captured on video hitting the outlet boxes with a pole.
He then moved on to the cameras, where the prosecutor said Kleinpaste sprayed an unknown substance on the outlet boxes spraying an unknown substance on the lenses and cutting the cords, causing around $1,000 in damages
