Self-Avowed Nazi GOP Candidate Plans 'Anti-White Hate' Vigil
Reputed Nazi and GOP congressional candidate Art Jones plans to display "white America under attack" signs at Orland youth activism event.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Self-avowed Nazi and GOP congressional candidate Art Jones announced plans to stage an "anti-white hate vigil" during a youth activism town hall intended to promote peace and healing this Saturday in Orland Park. Jones is running against two other candidates in the upcoming Republican primary in Illinois' 3rd Congressional District.
A panel of interfaith leaders and youth activists for "Youth Activism: Path to Peace and Justice," will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Hope Covenant Church, 14401 West Ave., Orland Park. The town hall is being facilitated by Marie Newman, who is challenging Dan Lipinski in the Democratic congressional primary. Panelists include Suzanne Amra, Diego Garcia, Dave Metz and Christian Perry.
"We plan to discuss how existing groups are already actively promoting peace efforts across the 3rd District," Newman said on her Facebook page. "This peace forum is also designed to be a platform to increase collaboration across groups in different parts of IL03."

"The forum is designed to provide a safe space for authentic conversations to take place and provide a pathway for healing. Questions for the panelists will be prepared in advance, but there will also be time for audience questions and answers."
Jones criticized remarks made by New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, popularly known by her initials AOC, at a recent climate change conference at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where she blamed white supremacy for the "scourge" of climate change. AOC has endorsed the progressive Democrat Newman in the 2020 primary.

The Holocaust-denying Jones added climate change denial to his repertoire, saying in a news release:
"Not only is there zero proof that white people and white societies cause the vast majority of Climate Change on the planet earth; there's no proof that climate change even exists on the planet earth."
Jones and his team plan to gather across the street from Hope Covenant during the youth activism event where official Art Jones for Congress 2020 "White America under attack" oversized placards will be on display.
This is Jones' fifth run for Congress. In 2018, Jones was the sole candidate on the Republican primary, and went on to capture 26 percent of the vote in the mid-term election against Lipinski.
Jones continues to irk Illinois Republicans, who had hoped for an Art Jones-free Congressional race this year.
"We reject this guy. He's not a Republican,” said Chicago attorney John Fogarty Jr., general counsel for the Illinois Republican Party. "He's not part of the party. He doesn't come to meetings, and he doesn't communicate with party leaders or other members."
Jones' protest comes on the heels of several incidents where Ku Klux Klan literature was found distributed throughout Orland Park. Patch has reached out to the Orland Park Police Department to find out if they’re aware of Jones' vigil and if they plan to respond with more police officers.
