FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- August 7th (Orland Park Il.) -- August is National Golf Month, and to celebrate the history of the sport and the love for the game, Silver Lake Golf Course in Orland Park will play host to a series of events and contests all month long. The event calendar includes weekly contests, demo days, and a golf drive-in movie night featuring the greatest sports comedy of all time, “Caddyshack.”

Our golf community is like family; many golfers on the south side look to Silver Lake as their home course. So, we’re going to celebrate national golf month like it’s a month-long family reunion,” said Bert Coghill, Owner and Director of Operations at Silver Lake Golf Course. “It’s going to be a good time with fun and unique events, honoring this great sport, its history and its evolution.”
