South Suburban Schools Hiring Teachers For 2018-2019 School Year

South suburban elementary school districts are hiring for the 2018-2019 school year. Alsip-Hazelgreen-Oak Lawn Dist. 126 in Alsip has just posted three new teaching positions for the 2018-2019 school year, including a fifth grade immersion Spanish teacher (Stony Creek Elementary), and fourth grade teacher (Lane Elementary, maternity leave) and K-6 reading specialist (Lane Elementary, maternity). Oak Lawn-Hometown Dist. 123 has four openings for Title I academic support specialists for English/language arts and mathematics on the elementary level. Ridgeland Dist. 122 in Oak Lawn has posted several openings for early childhood (teachers, parent and family educators birth-3, home visitors and prevention initiative translators); resource teacher, and fourth and fifth grade teachers in its PreK-5 elementary schools; and middle school openings for a language arts teacher (sixth grade) and an eighth grade math teacher (anticipated). Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 is hiring a middle school principal (application deadline June 29), a gifted instructor, substitute first-grade substitute teacher (maternity leave), bilingual/EL teacher and technology teacher. North Palos Dist. 117 has posted openings for an Arabic bilingual teacher and a library media specialist. These positions are available until filled. Palos Community Consolidated Dist. 118 has recently posted openings for a reading intervention teacher (Palos West), elementary school teachers at Palos East and West, and a part-time music teacher (Palos East). The middle school has an opening for a science teacher (Palos South Middle School). Openings for an early childhood special education teacher (Palos West) and elementary special education teacher at Palos East and West. Cook County School Dist. 130 serving students in Alsip, Blue Island, Crestwood and Robbins has recently posted openings for an "anticipated district wide early childhood teacher,” an “anticipated building principal,” and an assistant director of pupil personnel services.
