St. Michael School Band Members Hit All The Right Notes

2015 Archdiocese of Chicago Schools Solo Band Contest

Each year a Solo Adjudication is held for all students participating in instrumental music programs in the Archdiocese of Chicago. This adjudication is a judging of each student’s individual achievements.

Judging is based on the length of time each student has been playing as well as his or her chronological age. In a sense, the students are not competing against anyone but themselves. Educationally, this experience is invaluable.

Awards were given to those students earning an I-superior, II-excellent and III-good rating. An outstanding award is given to those who earn a superior rating and demonstrates the highest level of performance for their playing age; PERFECT. Medals will be presented at the annual Spring Concert.

This year the event was held at Cardinal Bernadin School in Orland Hills on Saturday, March 7th. It was hosted by our very own band director, Mr. Glenn Pawlak. There were hundreds of students from local Catholic schools. Several band members from St. Michael School had many students participate and the results were fantastic.

Perfect
