SUV Crashes Into Dunkin' Donuts In Orland Park

ORLAND PARK, IL — An SUV crashed into the side of a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant in Orland Park Friday afternoon. An elderly man was leaving the car wash at 157th and Harlem around 4:30 p.m. when he said he was cut off by another car on Harlem headed northbound and then lost control of his SUV and crashed into the Dunkin' in the 15600 block of South Harlem, according to Ray Hanania, a spokesman for the Orland Fire Protection District.

NBC-Chicago had a helicopter on the scene that showed footage of first responders there shortly after the crash.

Hanania said the SUV first sideswiped a tree before crashing into the Dunkin' Donuts.

The driver of the SUV was not hospitalized, Hanania said.

The Dunkin' Donuts remains open as the damaged area of the restaurant is sectioned off.
