Taste Of Orland Park 2017: Everything You Need To Know

List of participating restaurants, musical acts and other activities planned at the Orland Park Village Center the weekend of August 4-6.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- The Taste of Orland Park, an annual summer event held by the village since 2004, is fast approaching. Musical acts have been booked and more than a dozen local restaurants have confirmed their participation, according to a news release from the village. Here's everything we know so far about one of the most popular events of the year in Orland Park.

When is the Taste of Orland Park?

The event will be held over three days, the weekend of August 4-6. Events will be held on each day to accompany the food offerings. The Taste will go from 5-11 p.m. on Friday, 1-11 p.m. on Saturday and 1-9 p.m. on Sunday.

Where will it be?

The Taste of Orland Park will showcase local eateries at the Orland Park Village Center, 14700 S. Ravinia Ave.

Is there a cost?

Admission and parking are free with participating restaurants selling tastes of signature dishes at individual food booths.

Which Orland Park restaurants will participate?

Nineteen restaurants have confirmed their plans to be part of the event. Restaurant participation is subject to change. Here are the ones listed as participants this year:

Music will be played on two stages throughout the weekend.

Friday, August 4: Stephen Neal and Sixteen Candles

Saturday, August 5: Rosie and the Rivets, The Shagadelics and 7th Heaven

Sunday, August 6: The Fortunate Sons, 28 Days and American English

KIDS DAY

A number of free games, activities and programs will be available for kids of all ages from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday at the John Humphrey Sports Complex.

CAR SHOW

The Annual Taste of Orland Park Car Show will be held at the Humphrey Complex on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

ORLAND PARK'S GOT TALENT FINALS

Also on Sunday, Orland Park’s Got Talent live finals are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Stage.

OTHER EVENTS PLANNED

From the village: On Saturday, the Orland Park Lions Club hosts Bingo inside the Civic Center, and the Orland Park Kiwanis Club will do the same on Sunday, with both events starting at 1 p.m. Sunday’s happenings will include a Veterans’ Welcome Home event to thank those who served for their service and sacrifice. The event will begin with a motorcycle club honor ride at the main stage and presentation of colors. The Fortunate Sons, a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band, will perform from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
