Teen Who Rammed 2 Police Cars Found Hiding In Apartment: Cops
The Palos Hills teen was found hiding in a Park Forest apartment after eluding arrest earlier this month, Orland Park police said.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A Palos Hills teen suspected of committing several car burglaries was arrested Monday on an outstanding warrant for ramming two Orland Park police vehicles during an attempt to take him into custody earlier this month, police said. Reno McMahan, 19, appeared Tuesday before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on felony charges of aggravated assault to a police officer, criminal damage to government property and aggravated fleeing and eluding.
A warrant for McMahon’s arrest was obtained on Jan. 14. Orland Park police said that McMahan was a suspect in several car burglaries that took place throughout the village last month. McMahan also had outstanding warrants in Frankfort for burglary and domestic battery in Palos Hills.
The detective told the court that investigators set up a covert meeting on Snapchat. Police said McMahan arrived at the meetup on Jan. 8 at 9750 S. Crescent Park Circle and backed into a spot in the parking garage. McMahan was ordered to get out of the car but refused, the detective said. McMahan allegedly drove out of the parking spot, scraping the side of an Orland Park police vehicle. He rammed a second police vehicle five times before fleeing the parking garage, according to testimony. Damages to both police vehicles were estimated at $4,000.
