Thrillist: The Top 10 Most Corrupt Illinois Politicians

Corrupt is an unfortunate yet common adjective used to describe Illinois. After all, we’ve had more than our fair share of crooked politicians that have served time in office and then behind bars.

Aside from the usual suspects (i.e., our infamous governors), Thrilllist’s list of the top 10 most corrupt Illinois politicians includes lesser-known crooks, and even someone who held office in the 1950’s!

Here’s who made the cut, along with humorous summaries about the crimes these politicians committed.

I bid you adieu

Outgoing Gov. Pat Quinn gave a speech at City Club of Chicago on Jan. 6, reminiscing about his time in office, accomplishments as governor, as well as a heartfelt tribute to his father, whom Quinn called his role model. See the video here.
