Timberline Knolls Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for Women

Timberline Knolls’ partial hospitalization program (PHP) remains open during the current pandemic and offers housing that provides a safe, therapeutic recovery community for women age 18 and older. Women can admit to the PHP directly or they can step down after completing an inpatient or residential program. For women directly admitting to our PHP, a COVID-19 test will be given.

PHP housing options - named Magnolia, Cedar and Aspen - offer independent living close to Orland Park, Illinois, where our PHP is located. Treatment at our PHP features an array of therapeutic interventions and significant clinical support. Women in our PHP attend treatment from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. We also offer weekend sessions, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, for women needing additional support at the PHP level.

The purpose of our PHP is to help women blossom into independent, successful, and healthy beings. To accomplish this objective, we work closely with each woman to ensure that she receives the individualized care that best prepares her to achieve her personal treatment goals.
Elements of care in our PHP include:

• Daily nursing support
• Six hours of group therapy during each treatment day
• Weekly family therapy
• Weekly individual therapy
• Weekly nutritional counseling with a dietitian
• Supported meals with a dietitian and clinical staff (breakfast and lunch during weekday sessions, lunch during weekend sessions)
• Weekly sessions with a case manager to discuss aftercare planning
• Medication management services and medical consultations, including one weekly session with our medical director or a staff psychiatrist
