Tinley Park Woman Accused of Faking Residency to Get In Dist. 135
Orland Park police said Tinley Park woman gave store address as residential address so family member could attend a Dist. 135 school.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A woman is accused of passing off a retail address as her residence so that a family member could attend an Orland School District 135 school, prosecutors said. Manal Nofal, 38, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of forgery. Nofal is said to reside in Tinley Park.
Orland Park police detectives received notice from Dist. 135 that fraudulent documents had been tendered regarding the residency of a Dist. 135 student. Detectives learned that Nofal had established residency at an address in the 15800 block of Wold Road so that a family member could attend a school within the district, the prosecutor said. The address proved to be a retail establishment, not a resident, according to the charges.
Detectives further determined that Nofal lived outside the Dist. 135 boundaries in Tinley Park, the prosecutor said. Nofal was confronted about the alleged fake lease by authorities. Police said she submitted additional fictitious documents attempting to establish residency with Dist. 135.
