What Should Go Here at 94th Avenue and 159th Street?
Orland Park gave the go-ahead for two commercial buildings at the long-empty northwest corner of 159th Street and 94th Avenue. What would you like to see in the two spaces?

Notice something new at that corner, the one that’s been empty for a few years now?
Yes, you can now see a “For Rent” sign at the northwest corner of 159th Street and 94th Avenue. In February, gave the go-ahead for two commercial spots at the corner. One building will be 4,965 square feet and the other will be 12,062 square feet, with parking lots spread out in between.
The last space-taker was a Mobil gas station, and with a BP across the street we don’t really need another gas station there. In February, a village meeting agenda (which is attached to this article) read that a “pet supply store, a physical therapy business, and a national general electronic supply store are tentatively planned for three of the building tenant spaces, with the remaining units yet to be determined.”

I’m still holding out for a 150-200 person capacity performance venue-bar-restaurant. A place where any musician, band, comedian, book author and theater troupe could easily stage a solid show. Sometimes there’s table seating, other times it’s a clear floor to make way for getting down.
Now it’s your turn.
