Will County School Board Petitions Available Starting Sept. 23

Will County Clerk Nancy Schultz Voots this week announced that petitions for members of the boards of education and school directors in those school districts which fall under the jurisdiction of the Will County Clerk, will be available on or after Sept. 23, in the County Clerk’s Office (due to new law which amended the statute to have the school board candidates file with the election authority instead of the school district).

For all other offices, municipal, park districts, library districts, college districts and fire districts, candidates will need to contact each individual district in order to obtain information.

Filing dates for petitions of the Will County Regional Board of School Trustees, members of the boards of education and school directors in those school districts which fall under the jurisdiction of the Will County Clerk are Dec. 15 through Dec. 22, and must be filed in the Will County Clerk’s office at 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet.
