Wis. Woman Accused of Using Fake Hundred Dollar Bill To Buy Undies at Orland Square
Prosecutor said another fake bill was found in woman's purse.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A Wisconsin woman was arrested after she was caught trying to pass a counterfeit hundred dollar bill at Orland Square Mall, prosecutors said Friday in court.
Aisha Shelton, 22, of Milwaukee, WI, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a felony forgery charge.
According to the charges, Shelton was purchasing underwear when she presented a fake hundred bill. When store associates determined the bill was counterfeit, Shelton allegedly fled the store.

She was apprehended after a short foot chase. Another counterfeit hundred dollar bill was found in her purse, the prosecutor said.
Shelton allegedly told police that when Aerie employees determined the bill to be counterfeit, she ran because she was afraid of the law.

She did not get the merchandise, the prosecutor said.
Bail was set at $5,000. Shelton’s next court hearing is set for Jan. 11 in Bridgeview.
