Woman's Fraudulent Shopping Spree With Fake ID Ends in Arrest: Police

Store manager said woman's picture and information on ID "didn't look right," prosecutors said.

A woman is facing felony charges when she tried to purchase clothing at an Orland Square store using another person’s ID and temporary credit card, prosecutors said in bond court on Wednesday.

According to the charges, Elyse Harper, 22, was seen selecting clothing at Buckle, 524 Orland Square Drive, Orland Park, around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14. The store manager became suspicious when she presented an ID with her picture but another person’s information, which didn’t look right.

Prosecutors said that Harper also tried to pay with a temporary credit card and had several other temporary credit cards in the other person’s name.
