Orland Park, IL – The auditorium at Jerling Jr High buzzed with excitement Monday, February 3rd, as students from across Orland School District 135 gathered for a District-level Spelling Bee. Elementary and middle school students, representing their schools, faced off in a spelling battle, vying for the coveted title of district champion.

Families, teachers, and Principals filled the gym to cheer on the young spellers as they tackled challenging words with impressive skill.

The competition was fierce from the start, with each round presenting a new set of linguistic hurdles. Words like "awry," "floridly," and "agitation" tested the spellers' knowledge of language and their ability to remain calm under pressure. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation as the field narrowed, leaving only the most skilled spellers to compete for the top honors.
