1 Treated For Smoke Inhalation After Rapidly Spreading Oswego Fire: FD
Crews responded just after 5 p.m. Tuesday to find a fire on the rear deck and gazebo area of a Grant Street house.
OSWEGO, IL — One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire Tuesday evening at a house on Grant Street, officials said.
The person was treated on the scene and released. No injuries were reported to first responders.
KenCom Public Safety Dispatch received "numerous" calls just after 5 p.m. about a fire at a house on Grant Street. When crews arrived, they found a blaze on the rear deck and gazebo area. It spread quickly to a detached garage, officials said.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. While the cause remains under investigation, officials said it "does not appear suspicious in nature currently."
Oswego firefighters were assisted on the scene by a chief from the Plainfield Fire Protection District. Crews from the Montgomery and Sugar Grove fire departments provided station coverage.
