2 Drivers Injured, 3 Cars Towed In Route 34 Crash: Oswego Police
The three-car crash happened around 7:40 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Route 34 and Fifth Street in Oswego.
OSWEGO, IL — Two people were injured and three cars were towed after a crash around 7:41 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Route 34 and Fifth Street, Oswego police said.
A 17-year-old girl and 20-year-old man, the drivers of a Chevrolet Cobalt and Toyota Camry, respectively, were taken to Rush Copley Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries, according to police.
Based on police's preliminary investigation, the Chevy was driving west on Route 34, attempting to turn south onto Fifth Street, when it crashed into the Camry, which was going east on Route 34. The impact resulted in the Camry hitting a third car, a Ford Escape, which was waiting to turn onto Route 34 from northbound Fifth Street, officials said.

Officials said the intersection was partially shut down Thursday evening while the cars, all disabled, were towed and debris was cleaned.
The case's status is listed as closed in Friday's police blotter.
