2nd Floor Partially Collapses After Fire Breaks Out At Oswego Home: FD
No civilians or firefighters were injured in the Oswego house fire that broke out around midnight Monday.
OSWEGO, IL — The second floor of an Oswego house partially collapses early Monday morning after a "fully involved" fire broke out in the attached garage, officials said.
Firefighters responded to the house in the 300 block of Ogden Falls Boulevard just after midnight Monday after Ken-Com 911 Dispatch Center received "numerous" reports of a fire.
The first crews to arrive found the fire that started in the rear attached garage had spread to the upper floors and attic space. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the house using an aggressive attack, officials said. Although neither of the adjacent homes were structurally damaged, the siding on both was scorched by the flames.
