6 Speeding Tickets Issued In Oswego Police Thanksgiving Campaign
Oswego police issued a total of 42 tickets during its Thanksgiving campaign that lasted Nov. 18-28.
OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police issued a total of 42 tickets during its Thanksgiving enforcement campaign that lasted Nov. 18-28, officials announced.
Here's a look at the breakdown of tickets issued:
- 28 seatbelt and child safety seat
- 6 speeding
- 5 distracted driving
- 1 no valid driver’s license
- 2 suspended driver’s license
Officers also made three warrant arrests in that same time frame.

The Oswego Police Department was among multiple law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois that participated in the Thanksgiving "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign in an effort to reduce highway fatalities.
“Our officers patrol year-round to keep motorists buckled up and impaired drivers off the roads,” officials said in a news release. “We do this to save lives and ensure all of us make it home safely at the end of the day.”
