9 Warrant Arrests Made In Sheriff's Multi-Jurisdictional Sweep
Multiple agencies took part in Kendall County Sheriff's Office's multi-jurisdictional warrant sweep throughout the county Dec. 8.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office organizes and hosts a multi-jurisdictional arrest warrant sweep throughout Kendall County which results in the service of nine outstanding arrest warrants.
On December 8th, 2022, members of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office conducted a multi-jurisdictional warrant sweep throughout Kendall County. Multiple agencies took part in the warrant sweep including the Plano Police Department, Montgomery Police Department, Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the Kendall County Criminal Intelligence Team, and members of the United States Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The nine warrant arrests were made for a variety of offenses as a result of the warrant sweep and are listed below.
- Jovan Sherrod, 40, of the 300 block of Old Indian Trail in Aurora: Illinois Department of Corrections Parole Violation Warrant (original committing offense Unlawful Use of Weapon by a felon).
- Salvador Vargas, 25, of the 400 block of California Avenue in Aurora: warrant issued for failing to appear on a driving while under the influence of alcohol charge
- David Weirich, 40, of the 400 block of Alyssa Street in Plano: warrant issued for failing to appear on a domestic battery charge and violation of a court order.
- Alexia Montana, 21, of the 300 block of S. Madison Street in Oswego: warrant issued for failing to appear on a driving while license suspended charge
- Sacsha Youngkrantz, 22, of the 2500 block of Hartfield Lane in Montgomery: Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation warrant (original committing offense unlawful possession of a controlled substance) and a warrant for domestic battery out of Batavia.
- Malik Phillips, 20, of the 3000 block of Secretariat Lane in Montgomery: warrant issued for failing to appear on an unlawful possession of cannabis charge and failing to appear on a driving while license suspended charge out of Kane County.
- Nicole Townsend, 36, of the 400 block of Gregory Lane in Plano: warrant issued for escape (original offense driving while license revoked)
- Tyriss Washington, 18, of the 2600 block of Light Road in Oswego: warrant issued for resisting/obstructing a peace officer
- Anthony Betzwiser, 32, of the 30 block of Afton Drive in Montgomery: Illinois Department of Corrections Parole Violation Warrant (original committing offense Unlawful Use of Weapon by a felon) and wanted out of Grundy County for failing to appear on a driving while license suspended charge.
Sheriff Dwight Baird believes that cooperation and coordination between law enforcement agencies are of paramount importance in ensuring public safety. He added, “We are fortunate to have great working relationships with local and federal law enforcement agencies throughout the area. The strong partnerships allow us to maximize the impact and effectiveness of these kinds of operations.”
