The campaign uses the slogans "Click It or Ticket," "Drive High, Get a DUI" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

"Buckling up is the most effective way to prevent serious injury or death in a crash," police wrote in a news release. "Everyone in the vehicle, front seat and back, should be properly buckled, every trip."

The campaign is paid for by federal safety highway funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
