Oswego Village President, 3 Trustee Seats Will Be On 2027 Consolidated Election Ballot

Ryan Kauffman's first term as village president is coming to the end in April 2027.

OSWEGO, IL — Ryan Kauffman's first term as Oswego village president is coming to an end next year, meaning his seat, in addition to those of three trustees, will be on the ballot for the 2027 Consolidated Election.

On April 6, voters will take to the polls to determine who will serve in Oswego for the next four-year term. On the Village Board, the expiring trustee seats are currently held by Jennifer Hughes, Karin McCarthy-Lange and Andrew Torres.

Kauffman was first elected to his role in April 2023, when he overtook then-Village President Troy Parlier by about 55 percent of the vote.

Prospective candidates can begin circulating petitions for the consolidated election Aug. 25.

The petition filing period is 8 a.m. Nov. 16 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 23.
