1. 2 Juveniles Injured In Crash While Waiting To Cross Roadway In Oswego: Police (patch.com) — Oswego police say two local juveniles were injured when an Infiniti, struck during a collision in the Route 34 and Heritage Drive intersection, slid onto the sidewalk where three youths were waiting to cross. One child is in stable condition and another was transferred to Loyola Medical Center, while both drivers from Oswego received citations as state police reconstruct the crash and investigators consider additional charges.
2. Update: WaterLink Partnership Breaks Ground on 30-Mile Pipeline Bringing Lake Michigan Water to Montgomery, Oswego and Yorkville (positivelynaperville.com) — Oswego is moving toward Lake Michigan water as part of the $400 million WaterLink pipeline, with construction already underway near Harvey Road and Wolf's Crossing by Oswego East High School. The project will shift Oswego off a stressed aquifer, improve long‑term water reliability, and is scheduled for completion in 2028, with ongoing construction impacts in nearby Naperville corridors.
3. How much were the top 10 most expensive home sales in Kendall County, Aug. 17-23? (shawlocal.com) — Oswego topped Kendall County's housing market last week with a $1.05 million sale on Burkhart Drive and another $634,000 sale on Amston Court. The roundup details prices, sizes, and closing dates for the county's 10 priciest recent home sales.
4. High school football results and local scores for the Southland, Aurora, Elgin, Naperville and Lake County (chicagotribune.com) — Oswego football edged Geneva 44–42 and Oswego East beat Willowbrook 22–14 in a packed slate of regional high school games. Local soccer teams also featured, with Oswego drawing Wheaton Warrenville South and Oswego East topping East Aurora in tournament play.
