OSWEGO, IL — An man involved in a hit-and-run Monday was issued a citation after police located him at his place of employment in Oswego, officials said.
The collision happened at about 2:17 p.m. when the 45-year-old Oswego driver was turning left from Grove Road onto Plainfield Road. He sideswiped a car, driven by a 19-year-old Plainfield woman, headed northwest on Plainfield Road, spokesperson Cathy Nevara told Patch.
The man then fled from the scene, police said.
Officers were ultimately able to identify the driver and issue him a citation for leaving the scene of an accident, according to Tuesday's police blotter.
The blotter lists the case as closed.
