OSWEGO, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office plans to auction off a 2-year-old horse Sept. 16, according to a Wednesday announcement.
The male horse will be sold to the highest bidder at the public sale, happening at 10 a.m. at 2510 Roth Road.
The horse's registered name is WOH Lawbreaker's Ace of Spade, but he goes by Gambit. The sheriff is holding the sale following a civil legal finding; the office did not acquire or seize the horse, Deputy Dan Briars told Patch.
Whoever offers the most money — the sale is cash only — will receive a "Sheriff's Public Sale Certificate of Purchase."
