OSWEGO, IL — An SUV crashed into a semi tractor-trailer Friday morning while making a left turn at the intersection of Route 34 and Fifth Street, Oswego police said.
A Dodge Journey was driving on westbound Route 34 when the driver attempted to turn left onto Fifth Street but didn't yield to traffic, spokesperson Cathy Nevara told Patch.
The semi was traveling east on Route 34 when it was hit just before noon, Nevara said.
No roads closed as a result, but traffic increased. In an alert on Facebook, officials said police cleared the scene by 12:13 p.m.
The Dodge driver was cited for failure to yield, according to police.
