Another Loss For District 308 As Longtime Plank Staffer Dies
Marcia DeWitt recently retired after 31 years with the district.
OSWEGO, IL — The Community Unit School District 308 community is mourning another loss this week. The district announced on Monday morning that longtime Plank Junior High School secretary Marcia DeWitt has died. Dewitt was with District 308 for 31 years, working at both Plank and Traughber Junior High School.
DeWitt recently retired and was honored among the 2018 District 308 retirees in April.
"She meant so much to many of our students, parents, and the community," District 308 said on Facebook Monday morning. "Please keep her husband, family, and friends in your thoughts at this very sad time."

DeWitt's death follows the Aug. 30 passing of longtime Oswego High School science teacher Nicole Larsen.
