Bicyclist Struck While Crossing Route 31 In Oswego: Police

OSWEGO, IL — A bicyclist was struck by a car May 22 at the intersection of Route 31 and Washington Street in Oswego, police reported in Tuesday's blotter.

A 24-year-old Yorkville woman was driving west on Route 31, approaching the intersection with Washington Street at about 5:30 p.m., when she hit the Aurora man as he was crossing the street near Village Hall.

The bicyclist was uninjured. He was evaluated at the scene by paramedics before he was released, spokesperson Cathy Nevara told Patch

The crash was reported as property damage. The man and woman came to an agreement to get the bike fixed, according to Nevara.

No citations were issued. The blotter listed the case as closed.
