Boy, 13, Charged With Hate Crime After Posting Racist Threats: Oswego Police
Police said the boy had shared threatening messages about two other 13-year-olds.
OSWEGO, IL — A 13-year-old boy is facing four felonies, including hate crime charges, after Oswego police say he shared "messages of a racial and threatening nature" on social media about two other 13-year-old boys.
Police said they began an investigation after the messages were reported on Monday.

- Hate crime - Class 3 felony
- Disorderly conduct - Class 4 felony
- Disorderly conduct - Class C misdemeanor
Police said the teen appeared in juvenile court on Friday and was released pending his next court date.
