With the mild weather it’s hard to believe that winter is upon us already and that the annual Christmas Walk is just around the corner. This year, the Christmas Walk will provide joy and merriment throughout Oswego the weekend of December 7th-9th.
The Christmas Walk will kick off on Main Street this Friday evening with a tree lighting ceremony and will feature all your favorite activities! Head downtown to try out the skating rink and holiday train or take a ride in a horse drawn carriage. There will be plenty of activities, food vendors and, of course, a visit from Santa himself. The Oswego Chamber will host a silent auction in the Masonic Lodge and the Little White School Museum will have holiday music and craft projects for the kids. The evening will close with the ever popular and luminous silent fire truck parade.
Santa will be the center of attention on Saturday morning at Breakfast with Santa, hosted by the Oswego YMCA, Rotary Club and the Oswego Senior Center. After your visit, head downtown for the Cookie Walk, hosted by your favorite downtown businesses. Looking for that perfect gift? Main Street is the place to find it! Stop by the Fire Barn for the Oswegoland Park District’s Holiday Country Market and check out the Masonic Hall from to check out Santa’s Shoparama, hosted by the Chamber, where there will be plenty of specialty vendors and craft items to choose from. The downtown businesses will be open and ready to help you find that one of a kind gift during the Christmas Walkweekend too!
