'Brew At The Bridge' Beer Fest To Hop Back To Oswego In October

Brew at the Bridge organizers are tapping Illinois breweries for the annual festival and welcoming craft beer enthusiasts to Oswego Oct. 9.

OSWEGO, IL — Since 2012, craft beer enthusiasts have gathered in Oswego to share their love of the beverage and discover new varieties. On Oct. 9, Hudson Crossing Park will once again be filled with lovers of brews celebrating "Brew at the Bridge."

Rain or shine, the fest, hosted by the Oswegoland Park District, will take place at 65 N. Harrison St. Organizers didn't respond to Patch's request for comment about the upcoming event.

After hosting Ale-Gating in 2020, not letting COVID-19 stop the spread of love for craft beer, organizers wrote on the event's website they're excited to "throw off the shackles of social distancing" to celebrate craft beer along the Fox River.

This year's brewery and food lineup has yet to be announced, but in the past, the fest exclusively featured craft beer from Illinois breweries that have earned top reputations.

Fest-goers are also able to bring their leashed pets to the event and are responsible for cleaning up after them and bringing the appropriate supplies.

Live music plays during the festival, and in 2019, the lineup of musicians included The Powdered Toast Men, Davidson County Band and Coverlicious.

Information for the fest can be found on its website. Check back with Patch for updates once more details are announced.
