Dr. Ed Bell will provide a general overview of honeybees and beekeeping for Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club on Thursday, May 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. He will give an up-to-date report on the status of honeybees ten years after the “discovery” of colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) in 2006, describing the plight of disappearing honeybees. His discussion includes the importance of the honeybee to our environment, pollination, food production, and pollinator friendly plants.

The presentation will take place at the Little White School Museum, 72 Polk Street, Oswego. PLEASE NOTE: This meeting date is a change from the club's regularly scheduled meetings on the second Thursday of each month. The change was made to accommodate work details for the 50th Annual Plant Sale on May 7.
