Event Details
Aurora will celebrate the Fourth of July with its annual picnic-style event and fireworks show at RiverEdge Park.
Music will begin when gates open at 6 p.m. and last until 9 p.m. The fireworks will launch at about 9:15 p.m.
Food trucks and vendors will sell bites to eat in Wilder Park during the event. Guests are also encouraged to bring their own food and drinks (alcohol will not be permitted).
Before the fireworks show kicks off, the city will fly a large red balloon from Veterans Island at the north end of the park, where the fireworks will be launched. People should make sure they can see the balloon when they choose where to sit — if the balloon is visible, the fireworks will be too.
