Can the Republians ever win a election

Can the Republicans win a election
The republican party before they choose a presidential candidate to run in 216 should settle between the parties hierarchy which kind of a political candidate they want to represent the republican party and for those who vote republican in elections.
The  republican party is presently suffering from a struggle going on between the old establishment republican hierarchy and its more conservative members and because of a lack of control by either   group, this divide within the party has resulted in nothing much being accomplished and the parties objectives have lately constantly ended in defeat.
The republican party old establishment members, it seems, look back at the past presidential elections and they say we haven't been able to win because the party hasn't been liberal enough to gain the votes of the present group of voters and they claim that the party,if it ever  has hopes of winning  another election, has to change its message to be more inclusive in its approach to voters. But this approach of the party becoming more liberal, and running presidential candidates who were more, old establishment, and liberal in their views, has ended  up rather badly for the republican party in the past and the republican party candidate ends up losing the election to the liberal democrat party again.
The republican party old establishment hierarchy branch of the party believed that the idea types of republican presidential candidates are more liberal types of republicans like Mitt Romney or a John McCain and these liberal types could win the day for the republican party. But a copy of the real thing is never as good as the original l so the liberal voters, instead of voting for a liberal republican, stayed with the democrat party.
The lesson for the  old establishment republicans, from past experience, should by now be obvious but they're not willing, it seems, to admit this truth even to themselves and so are hunting around again for the perfect middle- of-the road, finger-in-the -wind, liberal republican to run for president next election.
The old establishment republicans had high hopes for Chris Christie as he was showing all the right stuff as he sometimes talked conservative, but showed a touch of willingness to jump in bed with the liberal democrats when the occasion would demand a compromise of his principles, the old establishment republicans liked that quality in a man.
However, Chris Christie has ran into a problem involving a political grudge and a bridge and the old establishment  republicans have to wait and see if Chris Christie is going to be fast enough on his feet to remain a viable presidential candidate.
