'Care'-avan To Honor Fallen Military Heroes For Memorial Day
Procession of vehicles will be flying the flag of the United States this Memorial Day Weekend, to honor those who have died for the country

OSWEGO, IL — The Village of Oswego’s ‘Care’-avan of essential workers will start Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 22, with a procession through downtown Oswego, honoring military members who have died in service to the country.
The caravan of essential workers and their vehicles, from fire trucks and squad cars to the heavy
machinery and plow trucks, will be flying the U.S. flag and flags representing the branches of the armed services.
This week, the route will begins at 1:30 p.m. from the Oswego Senior Center.
From there, the caravan will turn right onto Franklin Street, left onto Garfield Street, left onto Jefferson Street, left onto Main Street, left onto Douglas Street, right onto Madison Street, right onto Judson Avenue, left onto Madison Street, right onto Forest Avenue, left onto Hickory Street, continuing onto Benton Street, right onto Madison Street, and right onto Tyler Street, ending at Washington Street.

According to a press release from the Village of Oswego, residents are advised to watch from their own front porches and yards, stand at least six feet apart from others, and avoid gathering together in groups to watch the caravan.
