Chesterbrook Academy in Oswego Holds Recycled Art Showcase

On April 24, students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Oswego held a recycled art showcase at a local Chick-fil-A in celebration of Earth Day. Students created art projects using recycled materials both individually and with their classrooms, and displayed their creations for friends and family. During the showcase, students also crafted butterflies out of recycled materials and passed out seed bombs – which are made from biodegradable clay mixed with wildflower seeds – to all attendees and encouraged them to drop their seed bombs any place they would like to see a patch of wildflowers grow.

Leading up to the event, students learned about the importance of recycling and encouraging others to do the same. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
