"But we're starrrrrrrving!" Child Friendly Places to Eat in the Area

Is it another night we have to cook dinner.. eh.. nobody has time for that! So, where can we go so the kids can be kept entertained and you can get a chance to eat in peace? Well poof! Here are some ideas for you! Now, I didn't say they are all top notch health food, but sometimes we just need to eat for 2 seconds without a sibling fight breaking out, or someone needing our attention mid food bite, right?

1) Choo Choo Johnny's Naperville. Food is decently priced and served via mini train that runs around the bar height table top where guests sit. There are also arcade type games for 25-50 cents, as well as a train set that kids can stare at as long as they wait for food to be served.

2) Firehouse Pizza Pub: On Washington in Oswego. Get a GIANT sized family pizza to share! Fun fire station look that kids will love. The theme doesn't stop there, many kids can try on firefighter gear as well. Many other food items on the menu as well.

3) Chili's : That's right! Chili's has a game console for 99 cents with unlimited playing activities for your children while you wait for food to come out. Plus we all know and love the menu, so why not stop in today!

4) Culver's Oswego: Not only is the custard amazing here, but the menu is pretty extensive for a fast food type restaurant. The kids get a free custard with their kids meals. Another great thing is that throughout the school year, Culvers gives back to the Oswego schools for dining in on select evenings. They also participate frequently in charity dinners as well!

5) River City Roasters: On Hydraulic in Yorkville. Situated on a private stretch of land with a great view of the river. This family café has some delicious homemade sandwiches, salads, premium specialty coffees and dessert treats. Kids will love the cozy environment with books for kids and adults to stay and read. An all around great gem!

Honorable mentions include some old stand-by locations such as Olive Garden (they have coloring), Famous Dave's (they have coloring too!), Chik-Fil-A (they have a place area), Red Robin (balloons), My Lil Sister's Doughnut Shoppe and the Dairy Hut.
