OSWEGO, IL — The members of the Oswego Police Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association (OCPAAA) once again raised money to donate to the Kendall County Community Food Pantry. The money was raised through personal donations from all the OCPAAA members at their annual holiday party in December; for a subtotal of $685. The association had also agreed upon a match up to $300, for a grand total of $985. According to the Food Pantry’s website, www.kccfoodpantry.org, this adds up to over $7,800 worth of groceries and household supplies for families in need, through the pantry’s cooperative buying power with the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

On Friday, February 3, 2023, OCPAAA Treasure John Momich, along with Deputy Chief Kevin Norwood, Officer Steve Bailey, and new Officer Austin Svehla, met with Suzanne Stegeman, Executive Director of the Food Pantry, at the Oswego Police Department to present to her with the check. The OCPAAA is a group based on community service and this is one small way they give back to the community.
