Aurora student makes dean’s list at Georgia Southern University

Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 3,230 students on the Spring 2022 Dean's List. Olivia Hoskins has been named to the list for excellence in academics. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.5-grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Aurora students named to dean's list at Olivet Nazarene University

To qualify for inclusion on the Dean's List, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

Aurora native makes chancellor’s honor roll at University of Mississippi

Carolyn Humphrey, of Aurora, IL, was named to the University of Mississippi's Spring 2022 Honor Roll lists.

Humphrey, majoring in Psychology, was named to the Chancellor's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.

"The remarkable students achieving Chancellor's Honor Roll are among the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi," said Chancellor Glenn Boyce. "I commend them for their hard work and dedication resulting in their outstanding academic achievements and this well-deserved recognition."

In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

Aurora student among University of Scranton’s Class of 2022

Mary T. Musinski of Aurora was among more than 500 master's and doctoral degrees conferred at its graduate commencement ceremony on May 21 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, Wilkes-Barre. Degrees were conferred to graduates who had completed their academic degree requirements in August and December of 2021, as well as January and May of 2022.

Musinski earned a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from The University of Scranton.

Spring president's list announced at Georgia State University

To be eligible for the President's List at Georgia State University, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

Jada Samuels of Aurora (60502) has been named to the Dean's List at Georgia State University for the spring 2022 semester.

Aurora student graduates from Monmouth College

Tolulope Lawal of Aurora has graduated from Monmouth College.

The College held its Commencement ceremony on May 15, and 1997 graduate Kunal Kapoor, the CEO of Morningstar, Inc., gave the address to the Class of 2022.

A biopsychology major, Lawal is the daughter of Babatunde Lawal, of Aurora.
