Oswego student tours with Illinois Wesleyan University Collegiate Choir
Christian Spear of Oswego, Illinois, is a member of Illinois Wesleyan University's Collegiate Choir which will make several appearances in Illinois during the 2023 spring concert tour. Spear, a sophomore Music Education major at Illinois Wesleyan, is a graduate of Oswego East High School.

The Illinois Wesleyan University Collegiate Choir has established a long history of excellence through its on-campus performances, annual tours, and recordings. The Choir also sponsors the IWU Choral Commission Series, which in its 72-year history has added many significant works to the choral repertoire and resulted in a number of important world premieres at Illinois Wesleyan University.
It's composed of students representing the School of Music and other areas of the university.

Milwaukee School of Engineering dean's list for 2023 winter quarter includes Oswego students
Milwaukee School of Engineering congratulates students named to the Winter Quarter 2023 Dean's List. Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) are on the Dean's List. Students who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive "high honors."
- Ian Glashagel of Oswego (60543) . Glashagel is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.
- Katherine Kuhn of Oswego (60543) . Kuhn is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomolecular Engineering.
- Alexis Countryman of Oswego (60543) . Countryman is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Andrew Torres of Oswego (60543) . Torres is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Hannah Knoblock of Oswego (60543) . Knoblock is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Oswego women's cross country runner named an All-Academic Athlete
Naylah Allen of Oswego is one of the seven Lewis University Women's Cross Country runners named an All-Academic Athlete by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Overall, 216 men's programs and 249 women's programs were honored by the USTFCCCA for finishing the 2021-22 academic year with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher. The Lewis Women's Cross Country team achieved a 3.62 team GPA for the fall semester.
Allen is studying Nursing BSN at Lewis University.

Student from Oswego presents at Alma College Honors Day
Natalie DelaColina of Oswego, IL was among the nearly 140 Alma College students who participated in Alma College's 27th annual Kapp Honors Day program on Thursday, April 6, 2023. This day provides a forum when traditional classes are canceled and students share their original research, creativity and talents with an audience of their peers.
In sessions spanning nearly eight hours, students perform in dance productions, give oral presentations of scholarly research, and lead poster discussions. With a multitude of the student body participating, other students are encouraged to attend as many presentations as possible both to support their fellow students and to learn from them.
DelaColina, a senior majoring in nursing, presented "Remembering Velsicol: Responding to the Historical PBB Disaster;" and "Night Shift: Effects on Nurses' Sleep and Mental Health."
