Local students make Bradley University's spring 2022 dean's list

More than 1700 students were named to Bradley's Dean's List for Spring 2022. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a minimum 3.5-grade point average for the semester on a 4.0 scale.

Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) are on the Dean's List. Students who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive "high honors."

Oswego student makes spring 2022 dean’s list at Hofstra University

Mark Melton of Oswego achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Spring 2022 semester, earning a spot on the Provost's List at Hofstra University.

Oswego students graduate from Elmhurst University

In an atmosphere that was festive despite gray skies and some afternoon rain, Elmhurst University held its 151st Commencement for the Class of 2022. On Saturday, May 21, nearly 850 undergraduate and graduate students took part in the three ceremonies held throughout the day, out of more than 1,000 Elmhurst students who earned degrees. The following local students earned degrees:

• Eden Marie Braun, of Oswego (60543), graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing.
• Lexi Elise Fisher, of Oswego (60543), graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

The commencements marked the official end to the University's yearlong sesquicentennial celebrations, and "the first day of our next 150 years," President Troy D. VanAken said.

Michael Hartel awarded degree from UA

Michael Hartel of Oswego, IL (60543), has received the following degree from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. UA awarded 5,907 degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies on May 6-8, 2022.

Dobberstein makes dean's list at Monmouth College

Benjamin Dobberstein, a political science and communication major from Oswego, has made the Dean's List at Monmouth College. To qualify, students need to have taken at least 3.0 academic credits and attained a GPA for those courses of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
