Congratulations to the School District 308 March PRIDE Winners

School District 308 announced the March winners of its PRIDE (Proudly Recognizing Individuals Demonstrating Excellence)...

Oswego, Ill. (April 15, 2016) – School District 308 announced the March winners of its PRIDE (Proudly Recognizing Individuals Demonstrating Excellence) Recognition Program at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, April 11.

March’s teachers of the month are Oswego High School medical topics teacher Julie Wooley and Fox Chase Elementary School second grade teacher Elizabeth Meier.

Employees of the month are district administrative bus driver Brandie Foxworthy and Oswego East High School custodian Teri Collins.

Volunteers of the month are substitute teacher Ilia Rivera-Collazo and Sports Boosters Vice President Natalie Winkfield; both dedicate their time at Oswego East High School. Winkfield is also a concessions stand manager and an Executive Board member of Parents for Education and Global Success (PEGS).

The PRIDE program allows the Board of Education to formally recognize the efforts of teachers, employees and volunteers who are engaged in exceptional work across School District 308.

Each month, the program recognizes two individuals from three separate categories: teachers, employees and volunteers. A committee made up of various district groups and organizations selects the winners, and committee members serve six-month terms.

If you know someone deserving of the award, you can nominate him or her using the link on School District 308’s website or via mail. Details for the nomination process are also listed on the website. Any School District 308 colleague, administrator, student, parent, community member or alumnus can make the nomination. Self-nominations are not accepted.
