Cross Town Football Game Parking, Traffic Alerts: Oswego Police

Oswego police encourage those going to the Oct. 5 game to carpool or use provided shuttle service.

OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Police Department is alerting the public to several parking, transportation and route updates ahead of the Oct. 5 Cross Town football game at Oswego East High School. Police said until lots are full, parking will be available in the paved parking lots at Oswego East High School, where additional handicapped parking will also be available. People with handicapped parking passes should inform the first parking attendants they see when entering campus so they can be directed to the right spot, police said.

There's only one way to enter the event, and that's off of Wolf Road, according to police, adding that signs on Wolf Road will inform drivers when the lots are full.

If lots are full, there will be remote parking spots at Oswego High School, Bednarcik and Plank Junior High parking lots with shuttle buses to the event. School District 308 will also provide bus transportation from the parking lots at Oswego High School, Plank and Bednarcik Junior High School starting at 4:15 p.m. for drop off at the East side of campus, and back to those lots after the game.
