District 308 to Hold Reception for Outgoing, Incoming Superintendents

The District 308 Board of Education will hold a reception June 13 for departing Superintendent Matthew Wendt and incoming Superintendent John Sparlin.

The board will introduce School District 308’s incoming Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Sparlin and thank outgoing Superintendent of Schools Dr. Matthew Wendt for his service to Community Unit School District 308. Wendt has accepted a position as superintendent of the Fayetteville, Ark., public school district.

The reception will be held between 5:30 and 7 p.m. in the Oswego East High School atrium. Refreshments will be served, and all faculty, staff and parents of District 308 students are invited to attend.
