“Upon an investigation it was learned that a battle between Cody the dog (Alias: Mr. Wiggles) and a ferocious Coyote ensued,” police said in a Facebook post. “According to Cody’s owner, the coyote was unable to carry away Cody by the scruff due to a steady diet of KFC’s chicken and biscuits.”
The dog escaped unscathed, according to police. The incident happened within five minutes of Cody being left outside, the owners told police.

“Oswego Police were unable to get the coyote’s side of the story,” the cops joked, but offered a serious warning for pet owners.
“Please be aware of predatory animals such as coyotes in our local areas and monitor your animals while they are outside,” police said. “If you do encounter coyotes aggressing your animals use loud noise to scare them away.”
